My Husband Died in a Boat Accident – Halimah Namakula 

Halimah Namakula, a singer with a long career, finally shared her story of love and loss. Her husband, Mr. Samuel Semaala, was the father of her children and the love of her life. They met young, at just 15 years old, and their love blossomed into a family of four, three sons and a daughter. 

Halimah also revealed her age, sharing that she’s 65 now. “We met when I was 15,” she said, “and for 50 years we were together, until this day.” 

Tragedy struck when Mr. Semaala, a former member of Parliament from Kalangala district according to Halimah, died in a boat fire. He had been living in the United States but traveled back to Uganda to visit his people. 

Halimah never remarried. She poured her heart into raising their children after her husband’s passing.
