King Saha Throws Shade at Eddy Kenzo’s Leadership of Ugandan Musicians
There’s a beef brewing between King Saha and Eddy Kenzo! King Saha isn’t a fan of how Eddy Kenzo is running the Uganda National Musicians’ Federation (UNMF).
Saha says Kenzo getting close to President Museveni and the ruling party has compromised his ability to fight for musicians’ rights, especially the long-awaited copyright law.
Saha feels Kenzo is too afraid to upset the government and lose his personal benefits. He even suggests that with Kenzo at the helm, musicians can forget about getting copyright protection.
The “On My Way” singer believes only Bobi Wine can deliver on that front, and is thinking of rallying other musicians to take matters into their own hands.
Things got even frostier when Eddy Kenzo started dating a cabinet minister. Saha, along with some other musicians, think this is a distraction and takes away from the real issues facing Ugandan music. However, some musicians disagree, seeing the relationship as a potential bridge between the industry and the government.
