“Eddy Kenzo stole my song,” Cameroonian singer Gasha.

Cameroonian vocalist Gasha has taken to social media to accuse Ugandan sensation Eddy Kenzo of copyright infringement, alleging that she paid him $2,000 for a collaboration in 2015, but he uploaded the song on his channel without compensating her.

The dispute revolves around Gasha’s popular track “#chill,” with the singer claiming that Kenzo has falsely asserted ownership of the song and profited from it since 2015.

Gasha expressed her grievances against Kenzo, claiming that despite paying him a collaboration fee of $2000, he has wrongfully claimed the song, denying her rightful royalties and recognition.

Gasha emphasized her sole ownership of the rights to the song, expressing frustration at seeing Kenzo benefit from her creative work.

“We expected him to share it with a fellow African sister who paid, supported him, and shared her audience with him nine years ago,” lamented Gasha in the Facebook post.

However, instead of addressing the issue, Kenzo purportedly chose to block Gasha and her supporters across all social media platforms, exacerbating tensions surrounding the dispute.
