Cole Palmer admits he supported Man u as a child after his hat-trick.

Cole Palmer has admitted to being a Manchester United fan during his childhood after scoring a hat-trick against them while playing for Chelsea on Thursday evening.

In a remarkable 4-3 victory at Stamford Bridge, Palmer’s goals in the 100th and 101st minutes completed a stunning comeback for the Blues. Initially, Chelsea took a two-goal lead with goals from Conor Gallagher and one of Palmer’s penalties. However, they allowed Manchester United back into the game with strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes. Garnacho then put United ahead before Palmer’s late goals secured the win for Chelsea.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Palmer confessed his childhood allegiance to Manchester United, despite taunts from their away supporters branding him a ‘City reject’.

“Yeah, when I was growing up, I was a United fan!” Palmer said.

Reflecting on the match, Palmer emphasized the team’s determination to push for victory despite conceding late goals.

‌”When the eight minutes got added on [at the end of the second half] it gave us a lift and I thought let’s go for it. It was madness. We need to try to win as many games as possible, but to win like that, there is nothing better.

‌”We thought when we scored the third goal the fans lifted us and I saw the gaffer say there were two minutes left – and thankfully I scored again.”
