Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof of Man United will be sidelined for at least a month.
Manchester United defenders Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof will both be sidelined for “at least a month” due to recent muscle injuries, as confirmed by the club in a statement released on Tuesday night.
Lindelof sustained a hamstring strain during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford in the Premier League, forcing him to exit the match prematurely.
Meanwhile, Martinez, who made his long-awaited return from a previous knee injury during the same game, suffered a calf strain during training, prolonging his spell on the sidelines.
Martinez has endured a tumultuous 12 months on the injury front, starting with a metatarsal fracture sustained in a Europa League encounter with Sevilla last April.
This injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season, and he subsequently aggravated it in August, leading to another lengthy absence until January. Following his return, he managed only three starts before encountering the knee issue in February.
