Ugandan dance group, Hypers Kids Africa, has announced their participation in the upcoming season nineteen of America’s Got Talent (AGT), becoming the second kids dance crew from Uganda to showcase on one of the world’s biggest stages ever.
The news broke through the official Instagram handle of the crew earlier today, sending waves of anticipation and excitement among their global fanbase. Expressing their gratitude for the monumental opportunity, Hypers Kids Africa attributed their success to hard work and the unwavering support of their fans. Their Instagram post exclaimed:
“To our beautiful fans, thank you for your prayers as we’ve worked hard every day to make our dreams a reality. Today we have good news to share with you! We have been nominated to perform on #americasgottalent Season 19!! 2024 we are so happy we gonna represent our country!! UGANDA 🇺🇬 OYEEEEE……!”
The AGT platform, a cornerstone of the global Got Talent franchise conceived by Simon Cowell, is renowned for its vast reach and unparalleled scale. As the show gears up for its nineteenth season, aspiring performers from across the globe are preparing to vie for the coveted $1 million prize and the opportunity to headline an AGT live show in LA.
This opportunity marks a significant milestone for Hypers Kids Africa, making them the second Ugandan dance group to grace the AGT stage after Triplets Ghetto Kids in 2023. Founded in 2013 by former football player Moses Butindo, Hypers Kids Africa emerged from humble beginnings, born out of Butindo’s desire to uplift disadvantaged children in Uganda.
